The formula

Sodaslim Ingredients: The Five Amounts in Each Capsule

Quick answer

Sodaslim holds five printed amounts in each capsule, led by 138 mg of caffeine anhydrous.

Green coffee bean extract, raspberry ketone, garcinia extract and green tea extract add 130 mg each. Total caffeine is about 140 mg, roughly one cup of brewed coffee (FDA: How much caffeine is too much).

Five ingredients

What are the five ingredients in Sodaslim?

One stimulant and four plant or aroma extracts, each with its own printed amount. Tap a card to flip it.

Sodaslim combines caffeine anhydrous with four extracts: green coffee bean, raspberry ketone, garcinia and green tea. The label prints a separate amount for each one, so nothing hides inside a blend.

Dose check

How much of each Sodaslim ingredient is in one capsule?

One capsule holds 658 mg of active ingredients. Four of the five weigh 130 mg each, and caffeine anhydrous weighs 138 mg.

The percentages on the label let you work out the active parts. Half of the green coffee extract is chlorogenic acids, about 65 mg. Half of the garcinia extract is HCA, also about 65 mg. Three quarters of the green tea extract is catechins, about 98 mg.

The cup count

How much total caffeine is in a Sodaslim capsule?

About 140 mg, though the label never prints one combined figure. Caffeine anhydrous gives 138 mg, and two extracts add a little more.

A 12-ounce cup of brewed coffee has 113 to 247 mg, according to the FDA (FDA: How much caffeine is too much). So one capsule is close to one cup. The FDA also says healthy adults can usually have up to 400 mg a day (FDA: How much caffeine is too much). One capsule uses about a third of that.

Evidence

Which Sodaslim ingredients have research behind them?

One has a small, measurable effect. The others sit below trial doses or were never tested alone.

Small effect

Caffeine

In one measure cited by the NIH, 100 mg raised calorie burn by about 9 calories an hour (NIH ODS: Weight-loss supplements (HP)). Tolerance builds with regular use (NIH ODS: Weight-loss supplements (consumer)).

Below trial dose

Green coffee bean

Trials used 180 to 200 mg of extract a day, and all three in one review were poor quality (Onakpoya 2011: Green coffee meta-analysis). Sodaslim has 130 mg.

Untested alone

Raspberry ketone

No human study has tested it by itself, so its effect and safety in people are unknown (IFT: Raspberry ketone not substantiated).

Far below trial dose

Garcinia

Trials gave 1,000 to 2,800 mg of HCA a day and found under 1 kg of average loss (Onakpoya 2011: Garcinia meta-analysis). Sodaslim has about 65 mg of HCA.

The fifth, green tea extract, gives about 98 mg of catechins. Trials used 141 to 1,207 mg, and outside Japan the pooled effect on weight was close to zero (Cochrane: Green tea for weight loss).

A fair reading

Are low extract doses in Sodaslim a good thing or a bad thing?

Both. The four extracts are probably too small to change much on their own. That same smallness keeps exposure lower than in most liver case reports.

Green tea extract in pills is a well-established but uncommon cause of liver injury, with more than 100 cases on record (LiverTox: Green tea). Garcinia is a likely but rare cause (LiverTox: Garcinia cambogia). Most reports involved larger amounts or many-ingredient products.

Because every amount is printed, you can check each one against research yourself. The Sodaslim Supplement Facts guide reads the label line by line.

Safety

Who should ask a doctor before taking Sodaslim's ingredients?

The label says not for anyone under 18, pregnant or nursing. People who take medicines or have a health condition should check with a physician before starting.

Caffeine interacts with some stimulants, certain antibiotics, asthma medicines and heart medicines, says MedlinePlus (MedlinePlus: Caffeine). Green tea extract can lower levels of nadolol and atorvastatin, the NIH's NCCIH reports (NCCIH: Green tea).

Signs that need a doctor

Stop and get checked for dark urine, yellow skin or eyes, belly pain, nausea or unusual tiredness. Chest pain, a racing or irregular heartbeat, or fainting also needs care right away.

The Sodaslim side effects guide covers what is common and what is rare.

FAQ

Sodaslim ingredients FAQ

What is in Sodaslim, ingredient by ingredient?

Each Sodaslim capsule contains caffeine anhydrous 138 mg, green coffee bean extract 130 mg, raspberry ketone 130 mg, garcinia extract 130 mg and green tea extract 130 mg. The only other ingredient is hypromellose, the vegetable capsule. All five amounts are printed, with no proprietary blend.

Where does the caffeine in Sodaslim's ingredients come from?

About 140 mg. The label prints 138 mg of caffeine anhydrous, green tea extract adds under 4 mg, and green coffee adds a small unstated amount. The exact total is not on the label. That is about one cup of brewed coffee (FDA: How much caffeine is too much).

Why does it matter that Sodaslim prints every ingredient amount?

Because you can check each dose against research yourself. All five amounts are printed, adding up to 658 mg, with no proprietary blend. A blend shows only one total weight (FDA labeling guide ch. IV). The full breakdown is a real point in Sodaslim's favor.

Which Sodaslim ingredient actually affects calorie burn?

Caffeine. The NIH notes that 100 mg raised calorie burn by about 9 calories an hour, a small effect that fades as tolerance builds (NIH ODS: Weight-loss supplements (HP)) (NIH ODS: Weight-loss supplements (consumer)). The other four ingredients sit below trial doses or, for raspberry ketone, have no human study alone.

Is the garcinia dose in Sodaslim enough to matter?

Probably not. Sodaslim gives about 65 mg of HCA, while trials used 1,000 to 2,800 mg a day and found under 1 kg of average loss (Onakpoya 2011: Garcinia meta-analysis). The low dose does mean less exposure to garcinia's rare liver risk (LiverTox: Garcinia cambogia).

Is Sodaslim caffeine-free or available without caffeine?

No. Caffeine anhydrous is the largest ingredient, and the label says "Contains Caffeine". No caffeine-free version is offered on the sales page. If you avoid caffeine, Sodaslim is not a fit.
